Safeguarding

To support our safeguarding procedures, we have updated the colours of our school lanyards.

Green lanyards are worn by visitors who have completed an Enhanced DBS check. This means they are permitted to work with children without direct supervision from staff.

Red lanyards are worn by visitors who have not had an Enhanced DBS check. This means they must not work with children unless supervised by a member of staff or a visitor with a green lanyard.

Dartmoor Academy Trust staff will continue to wear the current lanyards.

We shared this information with the children during assembly and explained what each lanyard colour means.  We also talked about what they should do if they see anyone on site without a lanyard.

Please discuss this with your child at home.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
